Dr Jeremy Alford

A clinical psychologist with 19 years of mental health experience working in multicultural settings in Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia.

He adopts an integrative cognitive behavioural therapy approach in addition to mindfulness practices. This combination offers the best results in the overall psychological intervention of mental health treatment.

After working for many years in different clinical settings, he noticed that when sessions were offered in a more intensive format i.e. daily instead of weekly; significant improvements were noticed. A more rapid reduction of symptoms of anxiety and depression, as well as a faster integration and application of learned evidence-based concepts and coping strategies.

His private and personalized intensive integrative CBT and Mindfulness Choices Retreats Program is the culmination of Dr Alford’s years of clinical practice through his continuous search for identifying improved ways of helping people with mental health heal and recover faster.

It is through a process that Dr Alford calls Perspective, Insight & Transformation that each person that attends the intensive program is guided through in a personalized way.

He holds a BA, MPhil and PhD in clinical psychology from the University College Kensington. He is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society. Member of the International Association for Cognitive Psychotherapy, and the British Society of Clinical and Academic Hypnosis. He is also a qualified clinical hypnotherapist & neurofeedback/biofeedback therapist and is the Founder and President of the Middle East Eating Disorders Association www.meeda.me

Vanessa Bachmann

Vanessa Bachmann

Vanessa Bachmann is a fully certified Yoga Teacher and Reiki practitioner with a solid  background in Coaching, Meditation and Mindfulness practice. She is passionate to guide people on their journey in life and has worked with people from all over the world and with different ethnical backgrounds and mental health issues (from burnout to depression, anxiety,…). Her philosophy is to listen to your body and to learn to trust yourself.  In her classes she creates a safe space and an environment where clients can develop their practice in a gentle way and at their own pace.

The classes are Yin Yoga based which gives time & space to work on stuck energy, which allows the tight areas in the body to slowly open. This practice is a more meditative type where one has time to explore more of the inner landscape and where one brings body, mind and soul back into balance.
Combining Yin Yoga with Reiki activates the self healing and supports the therapy on an energetic level.
Vanessa applies different tools with the clients, such as breathwork, meditation, chanting & mindfulness practices, which they can easily integrate into their daily lives.
She believes that with the right support and tools everyone is able to create meaningful change and overall wellbeing in their lives.
